The past few weeks have been a joy ride for homeowners looking to refinance,
with refinance rates and FHA mortgage rates all dipping. Homeowners have
scrambled to get their mortgages modified to ease debt pressure. With the
proactive help from the government, even banks have been able to keep FHA
loans rate as low as possible as FHA Refinance rates dropping to historic lows.
The final months of 2010 are being regarded as the best time to refinance in almost 30 years.

The Section 203(k) program is the Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD), primary program for the rehabilitation and repair of
single family properties These programs operate through FHA-approved lending
institutions which submit applications to have the property appraised and
have the buyer's credit approved. These lenders fund the mortgage loans
which the Department insures.
